Mayor Dipak Majumder inaugurated the two-day state level Kola utsav organized by Department of\u00a0 School Education, Government of Tripura at Agartala Town Hall, also attended by NC Sharma, Director of Higher Education and SCERT. Total of 160 students participated in this two-day s long Kola utsav from all over the state, selected through sub-divisional competition. The two-day s long competition will be completed in ten categories like dance, song, drama, etc. Those who win at the state level will then participate in the national competition. Mayor Dipak Majumder while speaking as the inaugural said that, the kola utsav was started from 2015 with a special purpose and thought at the hands of Narendra Modiji. The objective of Kala Utsav is to develop and bring out the latent talents of the students of class IX, XI and XII along with their artistic knowledge. The central government has given importance to the education system. The state government is also following that policy. There has been a radical change in the education system. The state government has made many improvements in the education system to educate those who will rule the state in the future. There was a time when due to lack of good colleges in the state, many talents were lost prematurely as they could not study abroad due to various reasons. The present state government has created various universities, medical colleges, dental colleges and nursing colleges in the state for which the students of the state no longer have to go to foreign states for higher education. He also congratulated those who participated in this competition and those who will be selected in this kola utsav to participate in the national event.<\/div>\n
