Agartala, June 4: On the occasion of World Environment Day, a public awareness rally titled \u201cWalk for Your Planet\u201d was organized by the social organization Arpan Society. The rally commenced on Friday morning from in front of the Ujjayanta Palace in Agartala and passed through several important routes of the city before concluding at its starting point.
\nThe event was aimed at promoting environmental conservation, tree plantation, and the creation of a pollution-free society. A large number of environmental enthusiasts and volunteers participated in the rally.
\nAmong those present were Dr. Biswajit Bhattacharjee, Secretary of Arpan Society, and S. Prabhu, CEO of the IGDC Project under the Forest Department, along with other distinguished guests.
