This exercise is going to be held in more than 40 places in 8 districts of the state. A table top exercise under the supervision of the National Disaster Management Authority was held today at the secretariat&#8217;s video conference hall on various issues related to state planning and preparedness to deal with earthquakes. Adviser to National Disaster Management Authority Retired Major General Sudhir Bhel reviewed the matter through video conference with the stakeholders of District Disaster Management Authority of 8 districts of the state. do Basically, he emphasized in this review on always being prepared for earthquakes, keeping all information updated and making proper plans. He said that it is necessary for everyone to work together to protect life and property in dealing with disasters. He emphasized on maintaining greater coordination in this regard. He suggested keeping incident response teams operational at state and district levels.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>At the beginning of today&#8217;s table top exercise session, Chief Secretary Puneet Agarwal highlighted the various plans, initiatives and management of the state government to deal with disasters. State Project Officer of Tripura State Disaster Management Authority. Sarat Das presented the latest information on State Disaster Management Plan and Earthquake Preparedness. On behalf of the Health and Power Department, the outlines, preparations and plans of the department during the disaster were highlighted through power point presentation.
