Therefore, the government is working to improve the socio-economic status of farmers. The government has taken various programs for the welfare of farmers. The government is continuing its efforts to double the income of farmers. Earlier, the average income of farmers was Rs 6,580 per capita. Now it has increased to 11,096 rupees. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating a 1,000 metric ton capacity paddy warehouse built at a cost of Tk. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government is working towards the implementation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s slogan &#8216;Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Biswas&#8217;. The government is committed to deliver the benefits of government schemes to the very last person in the society. Farmers of two blocks of Kumarghat sub-division will be benefited by the construction of this warehouse. This has also fulfilled the long-standing demands of the farmers of the subdivision. The Chief Minister said that lemon, pineapple and tamarind produced by the farmers of the state are now being exported abroad. The government buys paddy from the farmers every year at a subsidized price. Various government assistance is reaching the common people directly through the Good Governance Program in every house. The duration of this program will continue till December 25. The government is working with common people for the overall development of the state.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singh Roy said that now there is a central godown in every district of the state. Initiatives are being taken to set up one warehouse in each agricultural subdivision. The Chief Minister will inaugurate 7\/8 more agricultural subdivisions in the state within the next few days. In his speech as a special guest, Labor Minister Bhagwan Das said that the government is working towards the goal of employment along with development. If the farmers prosper, the village will prosper.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Kumarghat Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Devabrata Dutta presided over the function. Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department Apurba Roy delivered the welcome address. Agriculture Director Sharadindu Das gave vote of thanks. Dr. District Commissioner of Unkoti District was present at the event. Vishal Kumar, District Superintendent of Police Kasta Jangir, Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Tinku Roy etc. After unveiling the plaque and cutting the ribbon, the Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister and Labor Minister along with senior officials toured the newly constructed warehouse.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Agriculture is one of the mainstays of the economic development of the state.
