He recently underwent medical thoracoscopy under anesthesia (monitored anesthesia care). A biopsy was then taken from the parietal pleura of the left lung. This method of testing has not been conducted earlier in the state. These types of tests are mainly conducted in reputed institutes abroad. Respiratory medicine specialist Dr. Kumarjit Sinha, Dr. Vijaya Mitra, anesthetist Dr. Mrinal Debvarma and Dr. Partha Debvarma completed this test. The patient is currently undergoing treatment.
