Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha urged the people to come forward in addition to the government initiative in this work. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha made this call while inaugurating an awareness rally under Khelo Tripura, Sangal Tripura program at Umakanta Academy Maidan today. Department of Youth Affairs and Sports organized this awareness rally. Inaugurating the public awareness rally by waving the flag, the Chief Minister said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has repeatedly emphasized in the meeting of the North Eastern Council that the entire North Eastern states should be made a drug-free zone. In this program, the state government is working to make Tripura drug free by organizing such programs in various schools, colleges as well as in every corner of the state.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">On the occasion, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sushant Chowdhury said, &#8220;Khelo Tripura in the program to build a drug-free Tripura and build a healthy Tripura&#8221; will be the main program of the closing program of the public awareness program against drug addiction organized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports for the past 1 month in various blocks and city panchayat areas of the state. The sports minister urged the government and police administration as well as people from all walks of life to come forward together in the fight against drug addiction. He said, in the coming days, more such awareness campaigns will be conducted in every area of \u200b\u200bthe state. Welcome speech was given by the Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sports Department. West Tripura Zilla Parishad President Antara Sarkar Dev, Agartala Purnigam Mayor Deepak Majumder and Youth Affairs and Sports Department Director Subikash Debbarma were present on the occasion among others. The public awareness rally started from Umakanta Academy and ended at Swami Vivekananda Maidan after passing through various routes of the city.
