Based on a tip-off, the police of Melaghar police station in collaboration with Agartala 18 no Battalion Assam Rifles conducted a raid around 3 am on Wednesday in Moniram Para and Rampad Para areas under 21 Nalchar Block. During the operation, 147 kg of dry ganja was recovered from there. This campaign lasted for 5 hours. The recovered ganja was brought to the Melaghar police station on Wednesday morning. Inspector Shankar Das of Melaghar police station said ganja was found in 16 sacks from that area. However, the owner of these ganjas is not known.Nobody was arrested. Ganja was seized under Section 102.
