Mr. India Mithun Debbarma, Sangeet Natak Academy-2020 Award talented people like Tarubala Debbarma, Ustad Bismillah Khan Youth Award-2020 recipient, Taapsee Debbarma are the pride of our state and nation. Minister of Public Welfare Vikash Debbarma said this in the opening speech of the felicitation program 2022-23 organized by Dasaratha Smriti Tribal Research and Cultural Institute at Agartala Superibagan on Thursday. He said that the talent of people from all parts of the state should be showcased across the country. New talent should be brought out from the rural level. The state government will provide all kinds of support for talent development.<\/div>\n

Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tingku Roy, Chief Guest of the program said that many talented people of Tripura state in all fields of sports, culture have gained reputation in all India field and have brightened the face of the state. We are very proud of that. He said that today’s students are the future of this state. We all need to work together to develop their talent in the world of culture and sports. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first to think of developing the talent of the people of the North Eastern region. The present Chief Minister Manik Saha also said that to build an overall beautiful and prosperous Tripura, the talent of the people must be developed.<\/div>\n

MDC of TTAADC Vuruananda Riang spoke as the guest of honor on the occasion. Eminent philanthropist David Debvarma spoke as special guest. Anandhari Jamatia, director of Tribal Research and Cultural Institute, delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Naresh Chandra Debbarma, a prominent writer of Janjati section, presided over the event. Mr. India Mithun Debvarma, Sangeet Natak Academy 2020 Awardee Tarubala Debvarma, Ustad Bismillah Khan Youth Award 2020 Awardee Taapsee Debvarma were felicitated and awarded on the occasion. People’s Welfare Minister Vikas Debvarma and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy presented mementos and a check of rupees. On the other hand, the Maharaja Bir Vikram Memorial Award for the year 2023 was given to late minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma, a prominent writer and philanthropist of the state. His daughter Jayanthi Debbarma accepted the award and certificate on his behalf. A check of 15 thousand rupees is given as prize money. Also, on the occasion of Kakbarak year 2023, Radhamohan Tagore Memorial Award was given to Kakbarak writer Uppal Debbarma, Kakabarak writer Upendra Debbarma was given Alindralal Tripura Memorial Award, writer and artist Pradyut Debbarma was given Mahendra Debbarma Memorial Award. Each of them was given a certificate and a check of Rs 15,000 as an award. Besides, Vishwapati Debbarma and Santosh Debbarma were given a check of 10 thousand rupees as the best folk music award. In modern music, Narayan Sakhi Jamatiya, gold medalist judo player Sahena Debbarma and best folk dance teacher Nripendra Debbarma were also given an award of 10,000 rupees. In the event, 2 students in secondary, 2 students in high school, 2 students in graduation and 2 students in post graduation were given special merit award of 5000 taka. The guests gave them awards. Folk music college students performed the opening song in the event. Besides, Mamita and Garia dances were performed in the event.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
