BR Ambedkar said this while inaugurating West District Youth Festival at Priyalal Saha Smriti Bhavan of Vidyamandir. The main theme of this year&#8217;s youth festival is &#8216;National Unity and Solidarity&#8217;. Inaugurating the Youth Festival, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in 2017 that the country will be corruption-free and terrorism-free in 75 years of independence. Corruption, misrule, disunity and inequality will be removed from the country. Currently, its success in the country has started to bear fruit. He said that the state government wants to build a better Tripura and a better Tripura with the youth.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Special guest AMC Mayor Deepak Majumder said that the youth was the main driving force in India&#8217;s freedom movement. Besides, State Director (Organization) Joba Chakraborty of Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports also spoke. Amiran Raut, Accountant, Nehru Yuva Kendra gave the welcome speech. The artistes of Susangam Musical Society performed the opening music. Former Assembly Speaker Revati Mohan Das, Arjuna Awardee Gymnast Montu Debnath, AMC Corporator Subhash Bhowmik, Philanthropist Chittaranjan Dev, District Education Officer Rupan Roy and others were present. The 1st, 1st and 3rd place winners in the poem were awarded with rupees 1,000, rupees 750 and rupees 500 respectively. Besides, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the drawing competition were awarded with 1 thousand rupees, 750 rupees and 500 rupees respectively. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the mobile photography competition were awarded with rupees 1,000, rupees 750 and rupees 500 respectively. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in impromptu speech competition are awarded with rupees 5000, rupees 2000 and rupees 1000 respectively. In the group folk dance competition, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were awarded with rupees 5000, rupees 2500 and rupees 1250 respectively. They are also given certificates. The prizes were handed over to the winners by the guests including the Minister. 8 exhibition stalls from various government offices were opened in this district based youth festival.
