Sentencing will be announced on Saturday. On the night of August 3, 2019, Bodhisattya Das, a bank manager, was brutally attacked with a sharp weapon at the city&#8217;s Junction Gate. Then Bodhisattya, manager of UCO Bank&#8217;s Dharmanagar branch, died in a hospital at Kolkata. The names of four accused have come up in this murder case. The accused are, Sumit Chowdhury alias Babai, Collegetila area contractor Sumit Banik alias Bapi, former traffic police inspector Sukant Biswas and Swaib Mia alias Omar Sharif. On December 4, 2019, the mother of Budhisattya Das filed a case with the police station.At that time Bodhisattya was still alive. He was sent to Medica Super Specialty Hospital in Kolkata on 7 August 2019 from GB Hospital. He died in the same hospital on August 16 at 9:40 am. After investigating this sensational case, the investigating officer submitted the charge sheet in the court under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The court on Friday convicted the four accused under sections 302 and 34 after hearing various testimonies for four years.
