Like any other day today also Chief minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha heard theappeals made people from different parts of the state at MukhyamantriaSamipeshu programme. Most of them turned up there for seeking assistance forhealth related issues. The chief minister listened to every visitor’s statement withutmost sincerity.
Maitreyi Paul from Badharghat Sripalli came to seek assistance for the treatmentof her father who has been suffering from Kidney issues for the last three years.Her father is the only bread earner in her family and he needs dialysis twiceweek now. To relieve her ailing father 24 year old Maitreyi had take up a pettyjob in a private organization. But with her meager salary she is struggling to runthe family and manage her father’s treatment expenses. So, she sought financialassistance in this situation. Chief minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, afterexamining here documents, instructed Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, medicalsuperintendent of GB Hospital to provide necessary help.
A deaf and dumb youth, namely Ujjwal Das from Pratapgarh met the chiefminister with the prayer for disability pension. By birth deaf and dumb Ujjwalfinds it difficult to find work for himself. In that situation his wife is working ashouse help. On examination of his documents the chief minister instructed thesecretary of social welfare and social education department Tapas Roy to takenecessary action on this.
On the other hand, Babul Sarkar of Singhamura, Amtali, an auto driver byprofession, sought help for treatment purpose. Because, he had suffered a brainstroke in December 2022 making him partially paralysed. Consequently hebecame jobless. Being the sole earner in his family they are going throughfinancial crisis and not in a position to take necessary medical care. Chiefminister in his case also instructed the medical superintendent of GB Hospitalto take necessary action. Malina Debbarma, wife of a cancer patient from EastBachaibari, Khowai, sought help for treatment of her husband. After examiningthe documents the chief minister instructed the medical superintendent of AtalBehari Regional Cancer Centre Dr. S. Debbarma to take necessary action.
In today’s programme apart from the chief minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha,secretary to the CM Dr. Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, secretary of social welfareand social education department Tapas Roy, medical superintendent of GBHospital Dr. Shankar Chakraborty, medical superintendent of Atal BehariRegional Cancer Centre Dr. S. Debbarma were present.
