The state government laid utmost importance on maintaining law and order for the smooth conduct of Sharadiya Durgotsava. As a result, Durgo Festival was completed this year without any untoward incident. Apart from this, different clubs and social organizations organized puja in an orderly manner in response to the call of the government. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the first autumn award ceremony organized by Ward No. 39 of Agartala Purnigam at Arundhatinagar 12th standard school ground today. The Chief Minister said that this year’s Mother’s Gaman program organized by the state government has taken a historic form. This kind of carnival has never been organized in the state before. The chief minister expressed hope that people from different parts of the country will come to see the Durga Puja carnival next year.
The Chief Minister said that the present state government is working to protect people’s right to speak and move gracefully. As the representative of the people, the government is working for the welfare of the people. The people of Raja have witnessed various initiatives of the Raja government during the Covid crisis. Keeping the people of the state by the side, the state government has tackled the Covid epidemic firmly in line with the Prime Minister’s vision. Tripura has also achieved a commendable position compared to other states in the country in terms of covid vaccination. The Chief Minister said that ward No. 39 of Agartala Purnigam will surely start a fair competition in the coming days between the different clubs of this southern region with the organization of Sharad honors this year.
Addressing the chief guest on the occasion, Mayor of Agartala Purnigam Deepak Majumder said that due to the beautiful management of the state government this year Durga Puja was completed without any kind of accident or untoward incident. This Durga Puja has become more interesting due to the official organization of Sharad Sammelan by Department of Information and Culture and Agartala Purnigam. Clubs have also played one of the roles to make government administration beautiful and fair.
Best Commemoration in Sharad Samman Ceremony, Orderly Pooja Organization, Best Environment Awareness Campaign, Annual Social Work Pledge, Best Pooja in Low Budget, Best. 22 clubs of city south were awarded for mandap decoration, best idol, best puja etc. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha along with other guests of the function handed over the prizes to the officers of the awardee clubs. MLA Mimi Mazumder, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta, Ward No. 39 Corporator Alak Roy, Agartala Purnigam South Zone Assistant Commissioner Rajeev Debbarma and others were also present on the occasion.
