Three injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles on the national highway. The incident took place in the 35 mile area of 18 Mura Hills of Assam Agartala National Highway under Mungiakami Police Station of Teliamura Sub-division.
According to the news, a car was bringing passengers from Chaomanu towards Agartala. As soon as the car came to the 35 mile area of Atharmura Hills under Mungiakami police station, there was a head-on collision with a 12-wheeler long-distance lorry from the other side. Three people in the car were injured. Eyewitnesses reported the accident to Teliamura fire brigade. The firemen rescued three persons from the accident spot and brought them to Teliyamura sub-division hospital. Among the three, Amitra Riang is undergoing treatment at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital as his condition is critical. The other two have been released from the hospital after initial treatment. It is known that the police have detained the two vehicles. However, the lorry driver and co-driver managed to escape.
