To mark the 75th anniversary of Maharaja Bir Vikram College, the five-day Platinum Jubilee program has started today. The program started with a colorful rally in the morning. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debvarma started the rally by waving the flag in front of the college. Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, AMC Mayor Deepak Majumdar, MBB University Vice Chancellor Professor Satyadeo Poddar, Tripura Tea Development Board Chairman Santosh Saha and others were present in the event. In addition to the current students of the college, the professors and former students of the college participated in this rally. RN Chakraborty, a student of this college of 1950, also walked along with others in this rally. The rally goes around the city and ends at the college.
Speaking to reporters at the start of the rally, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debvarma said that he is proud to be an alumnus of this college. This college has entered the pages of history. This college has a reputation throughout the country. Education Minister Ratan lal Nath said, many successful students of this college are spread all over the world. This college has played a great role in the expansion of education in the state.
