People locked the office of Amarpur Health Officer. The incident took place on Friday in protest against the inhumane decision of the state health department. Allegedly, against the transfer of two sub-divisional health officers, a senior doctor, a specialist doctor and the only radiologist within forty-six days, the angry people started protesting by hanging the locks in the office of the sub-divisional health officer from 11 am on Friday. Later in the afternoon, the blockade was lifted and the locks were opened after receiving assurances from the higher authorities.
