A road has been named after Shaheed Jawan Usharanjan Debavarma in Sutarmura village of Charilam block. This road was named in a ceremony at Sutarmura Village on October 29. at the event Subhashish Bandopadhyay, Additional District Magistrate of Sipahijla district was present. On the occasion, the Additional District Magistrate said that Martyr Jawan Usharanjan Debbarma, a resident of Sutarmura Village, was the pride of this village and the state. He was killed in action in 1988 while fighting with the enemy in Punjab. He was a CRPF jawan. A street in the village is named Usharanjan Smriti Sarani in his memory. BDO Ripon Das of Charilam Block, Additional BDO Amitabh Chakraborty, Assistant Commandant of 71 Battalion of CRPF were present on the occasion.
