On the birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the first day of the 7-day long program ‘Bharat Jodo Tripura Bachao’ organized by Tripura Pradesh Congress was held in Tripura today.The flag was first hoisted at the Congress building this morning.State in-charge Ajay Kumar unfurled the national flag and state president Birjit Sinha unfurled the party flag.Flags of other branch organizations were hoisted.Then going to Gandhighat, this padayatra started by placing wreaths at the tomb of Indira Gandhi.
A total of 1200 kilometers will be held in this padayatra of sixty assemblies.
Tripura Pradesh Congress President Birajit Sinha, AICC Tripura Incharge Dr. Ajoy Kumar, All India Congress leader Szarita Laithphlang, MLA Sudip Roy Barman, senior Congress leader Ashish Kumar Saha, Gopal Roy, NSUI state President Samrat Roy and other leaders were present in this padayatra today.
