The Agartala Municipal Corporation has arranged financial allowance for the children of cleaning workers of Agartala Municipal Corporation. So far 1087 people have applied to avail this opportunity. Pur Nigam will give a monthly allowance of 3500 taka to each of the employees whose sons and daughters study from home and 7 thousand to the first and second class students and eight thousand to the students from third class to tenth class. AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder said that this allowance is being given in the ratio of 90/10 in a central government project. The mayor also said, that the BJP government had increased the salary of the sanitation workers a few days ago.
