A farmer died after being hit by a Tata S car on the way to cut paddy from the land and take it home. Friday morning in North Charilam. In news, farmer Uttam Debnath’s father Sonamani Debnath of North Charilam area was on his way home after cutting paddy from the field on Friday morning at that time a Tata S car number TR01AM1836 came at a high speed and hit him. Farmer Uttam Debnath died on the spot. On hearing the loud noise, the local residents rushed to the spot and informed the fire department. The fire department personnel rushed to rescue Uttam Debnath and took him to the hospital. On the other hand, the local people seized the car involved in the accident. The driver fled the scene. Later, the police of Bishalgarh police station rushed to the spot and arrested a man named Debashish Debnath, the driver’s son, along with the Tata S car and brought him to Bishalgarh police station. The excited crowd tried to set the car on fire but the police prevented it from setting fire. There is tension in the area in this incident.
