Development of rural economy will strengthen the economic base of the state. Tripura Grameen Bank is playing a special role in this regard. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating 101 Business Correspondence Centers of Tripura Grameen Bank. Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated the Business Correspondence Center today in a virtual function at his official residence. Chief Minister applauded Grameen Bank’s initiative for public welfare.
Inauguration of Grameen Bank’s Business Correspondence Center to face journalists. The Chief Minister said that Gramin Bank of Tripura has always been providing significant services for public welfare in the rural areas of the state. Today Tripura Grameen Bank has a total of 498 Business Correspondence Centers including 101 new Business Correspondence Centers. He further said that through this Business Correspondence Center customers will be able to avail various banking services 12 hours a day including deposit, balance enquiry, fund transfer, self help group financial transactions, account opening etc. He said that out of these 101 new correspondence centers, there are 22 in West Tripura district, 14 in Sipahizola district, 12 in Gomti district, 16 in South Tripura district, 9 in Dhalai district, 16 in Khowai district, 5 in Unkoti district and 7 in North Tripura district.
