The twelfth (12th) Buddha Gupta Memorial Media Cricket Competition will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 under the initiative of Syandan Newspaper.
The event will be inaugurated at Swami Vivekananda Maidan at 8 am. The event will be inaugurated by Subal Kumar Dey, Editor of Syandan Newspaper and Managing Director of Sandon TV. Agartala Press Club Editor Pranab Sarkar, prominent businessman Rupam Roy and Abhijit Saha among others will be present as special guests at the inauguration ceremony. Principal of School of Science Abhijit Bhattacharya will be present as the chief guest.
Prize distribution and closing ceremony will be held at the end of the final match. 3 sports journalists of the state Manimoy Roy, Devabrata Chakraborty and Arindam Chakraborty will be felicitated. The champion team along with a beautiful trophy will be given a prize money of rupees 2000 , rupees 1500 to the runner-up team and rupees 1000 to the man of the tournament. The 12th Buddha Gupta Memorial Session will also be centered in the capital Agartala. Journalists, photojournalists and video editors working in media houses of the state can participate in this. Teams wishing to participate in the event are requested to submit their entries with a list of maximum 8 players and identity cards of the players at Syandan Bhavan by 8 pm on December 7. The sports schedule will be made through lottery and will be announced on December 8.
