60-year-old woman committed suicide by drinking acid due to a family dispute

A 60-year-old woman committed suicide by drinking acid due to a family dispute. The deceased man’s name is Manjubala Debbarma, the incident occurred in Jamtila area under Khowai police station. Sources say that Manjubala Debbarma was suffering from illness for a long time. There was a dispute with his son and son’s wife about this incident. Manjubala Debbarma tried to commit suicide by drinking acid on Friday morning when the people of the house went out for their work. In the afternoon, Manjubala’s son  returns home to find Manjubala lying on one side of the house, and tells his son to save me, I have taken acid. Immediately, Manjubala’s son informed the Khowai firemen, who rushed to the spot and brought Manjubala to the Khowai District Hospital. Manjubala Devbarma died later in the night at Khowai Hospital during treatment. After postmortem on Saturday, the body was handed over to the family of the deceased.
