Everything is ready for the prime minister’s visit:Susanta

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Tripura on December 18. On his one-day tour, the Prime Minister will be inaugurating few development schemes of the state and will be interacting with beneficiaries of different government schemes as well, stated Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury while informing about the Prime Minister’s visit to Tripura in a press meet called at the Secretariat today. The ICA Minister in the press meet said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving
from MBB airport to Swami Vivekananda Maidan to join the official programme on December
18. The state administration is taking preparations in this regard. He informed, Swaccha Bharat
Abhiyan was launched by the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi in 2014 which has gained global popularity. Following the very vision and on the
occasion of the Prime Minister’s visit, special initiatives have been taken on keeping the
Agartala city and nearby areas clean. Initiatives have been taken by the state administration to
make this programme a success.
The ICA Minister also informed, a high level meeting has been conducted recently with the initiative of the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary of Tripura in order to make the Prime Minister’s visit to Tripura successful. The Chief Secretary had directed every district and sub- division administration for making the programme a success. The ICA Minister informed, detailed schedule of the Prime Minister’s visit will be officially informed in few days.
