Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma passed away on Sunday. Today, his body was taken from Adviser Choumuhani’s home to All India Radio, his former workplace, where tributes were paid to him. Then his body were taken to the Assembly premises where first the Speaker of the Assembly Ratan Chakraborty and then one by one all the legislators paid their respects. Ratan Bhowmik paid tribute on behalf of CPIM. On the other hand, Sudip Roy Barman, the only MLA of the state Congress, also paid tribute. Then his body was taken to the secretariat. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha first paid homage to his body there. Then minister Pranajit Singh Roy paid tribute. Later his body was sent to North Maharani in Teliamura where he will be cremated.
