On December 18, some gold ornaments were stolen from Sanjay Saha’s house in Chittaranjan area. He reported the incident to the police. Police investigation found that Biswajit Debnath, who introduced himself as a lawyer, was involved in the theft. Who goes around pretending to be a lawyer in the District Court and High Court. Later Biswajit fled to Orissa. But police were monitoring his movements and nabbed him after he returned to the state yesterday. Later, gold ornaments worth about 6 lakh rupees were recovered from him. Sadar SDPO Ajay Kumar Das said that he will be taken to court today and a reminder will be applied for questioning him about his involvement in any other theft incidents.
