Yesterday, the state government formed a three-member advisory committee to look into the legal complications and solve the problems of 10,323 dismissed teachers. The committee consists of retired Justice AB Pal, senior advocate Chandrasekhar Sinha and retired IFS officer Prosenjit Biswas. The committee has been asked to submit a report by March 31. 10323 sacked teachers called off their hunger strike today Thursday in compliance with the committee formed by the state government. Their hunger strike entered 85 days today. Their demand was that they should be reinstated as per the statement found in the Supreme Court’s RTI application.
