🚨🧧 74th Republic Day celebrated at Assam Rifles Ground

More than 70 percent of the people of Tripura depends on agriculture and trade for their livelihood. So the state should continue efforts to develop these areas. Likewise, we should continue our efforts to make Tripura a great state by increasing our contribution in health, education and sports. This was said by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya after hoisting the national flag at the main programme of the 74th Republic Day celebration at Assam Rifles Ground yesterday. Chief Secretary JK Sinha, Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan, Advocate General Siddhartha Shankar Dey, senior officers of Central and State Governments and senior officers of State Police were present on the occasion. On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day, the Governor congratulated the people of the state and the armed forces and said that Republic Day is a very important day for us because on this day that is 26th January 1950 under the leadership of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly and India emerged as a sovereign democratic republic. Our constitution provides Justice, Freedom, Equal Rights and Fratemity to the citizens of the country. India became a Socialist and Secular state through the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution.
Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the people of Tripura on the occasion of 74″ Republic Day. On the occasion, the Governor congratulated those who keep the country safe from internal and extemal enemies. He also congratulated the Indian Army, State Police and State Administration. The Governor said. now we have to pledge that we shall work hard, sacrifice and dedicate to make Tripura a prosperous state in the country.
BSF. Assam Rifles, TSR, Women TSR Platoon, Tripura Police, Women Defence Force, Forest Platoon, Home Guard felicitated the Governor at the main programme of 74th Republic Day organized at Assam Rifles Ground. Besides, NCC Boys and Girls, Scouts and Guides, Civil Defence and Assam Rifles Public School participated in the parade.
Commandant Ranaditya Das of 12th Battalion TSR led the parade. Assam Rifles got fire in the security category of the parade, 1″ Battalion TSR and Women TSR Platoon got second and third respectively. Assam Rifles Public School stood first in non-security category, NCC
Boys and NCC Girls got second and third respectively.
On the occasion of Republic Day, the names of all police officers and police personnel who have been awarded under different category with the approval of the President were announced. Additional DGP Saurabh Tripathi received the President Police Medal for Distinguished Service on this Republic Day. Besides, Police medal for Meritorious Service were given to Bhanupada Chakraborty (SP Crime Branch), Amal Debbarma (Assistant Commandant, 13th Battalion TSR), Kamal Shukla Das (DSP) Security), Hemanta Bist (Subedar, 3rd Battalion TSR), Manindra Bardhan ( Subedar, 3 Battalion TSR) and Ashish Kumar Das (Sub Inspector). Ataur Rahman (Home Guard) and Sapna Dutta (Marak) (Female Home Guard) will receive Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service.
On the occasion, Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya gave the awards to all the police officers and police personnel who were awarded the President’s Police Medal and other police medals with the approval of the President of India on Independence Day 2020 and Republic Day 2022. The Awards were also given to SI Debajit Bhattacharya, Subedar Rakhal Chandra Nath. Subedar Thakurchan Das, SI Madhabi Das, SI Sanchita Nath, Naik Purnima Debbarma. Constable Arpana Rani Das, Colourful cultural items and Bharatanatyam were performed by the Department of School Education, TTAADC and Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
