Swami Vivekananda is a symbol of peace. To be established in life one must know Swami Vivekananda. It was Swami Vivekananda who brought the tradition and glory of Sanatan Dharma to the world. State Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha said this at the inaugural function of Blood Donation Camp and Chicago Speech Day organized at Vichitra Hall of Udaipur Ramesh Higher Secondary School today. He said the speech given by Swami Vivekananda at the World Religion Conference held in Chicago, USA is still relevant today. He presented the superiority of Sanatan Dharma to the people of the world. He also said that student life is the best time of life. He advised the students to utilize this time properly. He said that student teacher relationship is very sweet. The contribution of Ramesh School in the education world of the state is undeniable. Many students passed out from this school and are working with reputation at national and international level. At one time many students from Agartala used to come and study in this school. He assured the students of the school that modern education infrastructure will be developed in this school in the coming days.Pratima Bhowmik, Minister of State of the Ministry of Social Justice and Women Empowerment of the Central Government, said on the occasion that Swami Vivekananda had raised the name of India in the court of the world. He is the one who brought Sanatan Dharma to the world. To know Sanatan Dharma one must know Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago lecture was broadcast in about 157 countries of the world. He said, the contribution of Ramesh School in creating state building workers is undeniable. Students of Ramesh School are doing well in the state and outside the country. The current Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi is working to take the country forward by following the philosophy and thought of Vivekananda. Vivekananda’s philosophy was the main architect of India’s construction. A self-reliant India will develop only if Vivekananda’s philosophy is properly implemented. He appealed to the alumni to come forward to revamp the Ramesh School.
Buddhirupananda Maharaj, Vice Principal of Agartala Vivekananda Ramakrishna Mission spoke on various aspects of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and philosophy of life. Besides, Gomti Zilla Parishad President Swapan Adhikari spoke. Parimal Chakraborty, Acting Headmaster of the school gave the welcome speech. Gomti District District Magistrate Gavekar Mayur Ratilal, School Managing Committee Secretary Vishveshwar Majumder and former students were present. On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the certificate to Ankita Sengupta, a meritorious student of the school who successfully passed the secondary examination in 2022. Moreover, the guests handed over nine categories of scholarships to the students. Blood donation camps, exhibitions and cultural programs were organized on the occasion.
