Tripura state assembly elections are going to be held on February 16. All the political parties are campaigning in full swing. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi visited the state for a day on Saturday in support of Bharatiya Janata Party candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Agartala Airport on Saturday afternoon by air force plane. From there he went to Ambassa by helicopter. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Vijay Sankalp public meeting there. Speaking at the meeting, Narendra Modi said that the people of Tripura have been strengthened in the three powers of housing, health and income during the 5 years of the BJP government. BJP government is working for the development of Tripura, for the development of the people of Tripura. Today women’s empowerment is going on. Tripura is developing at double speed thanks to double engine. He said neither Congress nor the Left can serve the people. They only know how to stop public welfare projects .The Prime Minister further said that in Tripura there was a complete cadre rule during the Left period. The Prime Minister called CPM a donation company today.The present government has freed the people of the state from the atmosphere of fear, terror, extortion.
“Congress and CPM only know how to betray the poor,” he said. The Prime Minister claimed that Tripura was freed from left misrule only by your votes. Your vote will further strengthen the development momentum of the double engine government in Tripura. The Prime Minister also held a public meeting today in Udaipur. There too he attacked the Left Front Congress in a tongue-in-cheek manner and highlighted the development program of the state government. The attendance of people in both public meetings was significant. State Chief Minister Manik Saha, State BJP President Rajeev Bhattacharya, former Chief Minister Biplap Kumar Dev and others were present along with the Prime Minister in both the public meetings.
