Workers leave for the polling station tomorrow for Tripura Assembly elections. The poll workers left for their respective polling stations today for polling. Poll workers for 8 assembly constituencies of Sadar sub-division are sent from Umakanta Academy. State Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Geeto visited the Umakanta Academy ground today afternoon. During the visit, he spoke to poll workers, security personnel. Later, in an exchange with reporters, he said that earlier there were many polling stations in the state where the poll workers had to leave two and three days in advance to reach them. But this year every polling station is within 300 meters from the main road. As a result, polling staff as well as voters do not have to walk a long way. Each polling station will have a separate voter line for the elderly, disabled. Moreover, ramps, railings, drinking water, toilets, restrooms, electricity have been provided. The Election Commission has trained polling staff for technically accurate and seamless elections. The Chief Electoral Officer expressed hope that 100 percent polling will be done correctly. He also told reporters that an air ambulance has been arranged at the Maharaja Bir Vikram Airport for emergency services. Chief Electoral Officer Kiran Gito urged all voters in the state to exercise their franchise between 7 am and 4 pm.
