A male elephant named Kishore escaped from the camp and ran away from the camp due to the extreme eccentricity of the forest department. A search is on for the missing elephant. The incident took place at Mungiakami elephant camp under Teliamura subdivision on Thursday afternoon.
It is reported that there are four elephants in Mungiakami Elephant Camp. Among them, a male elephant named Kishore attacked the mouth and escaped by breaking the strong chains. The elephant disappeared in the vast forest of Atharomura hill. 18 long hours have passed since the elephant escaped but still no trace has been found. Although the elephant escaped on Thursday afternoon, forest officials tried to cover up the incident. As soon as the elephant went missing on Friday morning, Khowai District Forest Officer and senior officials of the forest department rushed to the elephant camp. Meanwhile, a large force of the forest department has started a search operation across the vast forest of Ataro Mura hills, but the elephant has not been found yet.
