The state assembly results were released on March 2. The election was held on February 16. For the second time, the BJP government won the majority in this election. The first meeting of the newly elected members was held on Monday. After the Legislative Council meeting, Dr. Manik Saha was elected as the leader by the newly elected members. Dr. Manik Sahar’s name as the Chief Minister was proposed by the Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik, who contested the assembly elections from Dhanpur constituency and won this assembly election. All the members welcomed this motion by applause.Dr. Manik saha will take oath as Chief Minister on March 8 at Vivekananda Maidan.
