A preparation meeting was held today in the conference hall of West Tripura District Collector’s office under the chairmanship of West Tripura District Collector Debpriya Vardhan to deal with various damages caused by Kalbaisakhi storm and monsoon. In the meeting, the District Magistrate directed all concerned departments including the Sub-Divisional Magistrates of the three sub-divisions to prepare in advance for the upcoming monsoon season. The District Magistrate also ordered necessary repairs of pump machines in West District and necessary inspection and repair of all the boats available. He emphasized on making advance preparations to provide minimum facilities to disaster affected people in relief camps in flood or disaster situations. Additional District Magistrate Taritkanti Chakma, Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Sadar, Jiraniya and Mohanpur sub-divisions, officials of various departments concerned, various officials of TSR, NDRF, SDRF, CRP and Assam Rifles were present in the meeting.
