The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected members of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly was held on Thursday. The oath-taking ceremony was held in the lobby of the Legislative Assembly. Pro-tem Speaker Vinay Bhushan Das administered the oath. Significantly, the opposition CPIM members did not take the oath during the swearing-in ceremony on Sunday. Congress MLA Sudeep Roy Barman was also absent. 11 Left Front MLAs took oath in the Potem Speaker’s room and Binay Bhushan Das also read the oath to them. 30 BJP MLAs, 1 IPFT, 2 Congress MLAs ,CPIM 11 MLA overall 44 MLAs took oath on Thursday.Tripra Motha has already said that they will take oath on 17th.It is not known why Congress MLA Sudeep Roy Barman did not take oath.
