Two women rickshaw passenger escaped a major accident in Durga Chaumuhni area today as a result of a contest of signal flouting in the absence of fines and no traffic police at various points. Incidentally, the Maruti Alto car was coming out of Ramnagar road No. 8 following the signal. On the other hand, the motorized rickshaw disobeyed the signal and hit the Maruti alto and overturned. As a result, two female passengers were injured. A commotion ensued and the two women were rushed to the hospital.
