A meeting was held today at Agniveena Hall, Jiraniya regarding various matters related to transport of Jiraniya Rail Yard. The meeting chaired by Transport Minister Sushant Chowdhury was attended by Jiraniya Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ratan Kumar Das, Jiraniya Panchayat Samiti Vice Chairman Pritam Debnath, Jiraniya Sub-division Additional Sub-Divisional Ruler Sushant Debvarma, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dulal Chandra Dutt, NF Railway Area Manager Techi Kumar, West Tripura Cultural Advisory Committee member Partha Sarthi Saha, philanthropist Gaurang Bhowmik, Shyamal Debnath, various officials of Railway Ministry and vehicle owners involved in goods transportation, traders. The Transport Minister advised the stakeholders to look into how the business of those associated with various businesses at Jirania railway station can grow further. Those associated with the transportation of goods by rail discussed various issues in the meeting.
