🧧🚨National Lok Adalat was held on Saturday

On Saturday, the National Lok Adalat sat again in the state. Apart from the Tripura High Court, these Lok Adalats sit on public holidays in all district and sub-divisional court premises of the state. A total of 11,346 cases were taken up for disposal in 66 benches of this Lok Adalat. Out of this there were 5070 cases related to previous disputes and 6276 cases pending in court.4393 cases related to payment of bank loans in National Lok Adalat, 292 cases related to motor accident compensation, 08 cases related to consumer court, 677 cases related to unpaid bills of telecommunication corporation, 5576 cases related to negotiable criminal disputes, 219 cases related to matrimonial disputes, check bounced cases (NI Act) 97 cases, 34 other civil cases, 21 contempt cases and 12 land acquisition cases were taken up for disposal. A bench was also sitting in the Tripura High Court. 80 cases were taken up for disposal in this bench. The largest number of 11 bench seats in the Lok Adalat is in the Agartala court premises. A help desk was set up in the court premises to help the citizens. Paralegal volunteers were on the court premises to assist people who had been notified. Tripura State Legal Services Authority Member Secretary Data Mohan Jamatia thanked all concerned for taking the advantage of settling the case quickly and without legal expenses. Tripura High Court Chief Justice Apresh Kumar Singh visited this Lok Adalat.
