India’s top wrestlers have been staging a sit-in for more than a month, accusing the head of the Indian Wrestling Federation, Brijbhushan Sanara Singh, of sexual harassment. On Sunday, they were subjected to police harassment as they marched towards India’s new Parliament building. The police have also filed a riot case against them in this incident.
This time, the wrestlers have announced that they will throw their medals into the Ganges in protest of the  behavior.
They will throw their medals into the Ganga in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. They have called for a program to throw the medals into the Ganges on Tuesday evening. They will also sit on hunger strike at India Gate.
They said, after throwing the medal, their lives have no meaning. They can no longer hold their self-respect.
They said in a letter, ‘There is no point in keeping these medals hanging around the neck. They also threw arrows of accusation at the Prime Minister of India. India’s top wrestlers have been protesting in Delhi since last April.
