On Friday, a conference was held at the secretariat conference hall with various SDM and officers associated with the food department aof the 8 (eight) districts of the state to strengthen the public distribution system and the overall development of all, including consumers, on various important issues related to the public distribution system (PDS)Department Minister Sushant Chowdhury met in a video conference on the matter.By learning about the detailed information regarding the stock of various food items from the senior officials present in this video conference, the officials of the food department took necessary measures to keep the stock in accordance with the demand in the warehouses of the food department before the specified time Minister gave instructions for. Besides, he instructed the officials to conduct regular on-the-ground monitoring in the markets to keep the prices of daily necessities at a stable and tolerable level. The minister gave necessary suggestions to strengthen the public distribution system with joint efforts of all and to bring more dynamics to the work of the department for the overall development of all including the consumers.
