Presented a memorandum to Dictrict Magistrate of West Tripura.The state government will start the construction of the multi-storied building project in Agartala Old Motor Stand area within a few days.
The area has many passenger stands for small vehicles and stalls of small traders. From workers to small traders, they fear that they will face huge losses if the strike starts. Their livelihood will stop. Commuters will be harassed.
In this situation, the three organizations of the transport workers of the state Tripura Motor Sramik Union, Tripura Autorickshaw Workers Union and Tripura E-Rickshaw Workers Union are deeply concerned.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the following proposals were submitted by the organizations in the form of proposals to the District Magistrate.
Proposals
The above-mentioned organizations of transport workers in the state are not opposed to the development work. Building a multi-storied building is a time-consuming task. Care should be taken not to evict any transport workers or small businessmen during this time. For that, it is necessary to start the work in consultation with the related labor organizations, passengers, businessmen. This task should be started by searching for alternatives.
All the workers and small businessmen should ensure their thinking and commitment in the construction plan of the building or the parking lot so that they can get well in the future.
The above three organizations of transport workers hope that the relevant authorities will look into the matter closely.
