Out-of-state workers and even vagrants are facing public outrage over rumors of child theft in various parts of the state. Although there are no cases of child theft across the state. An atmosphere of panic is being created among the common people by spreading the rumor of child theft from a community through various media. It is alleged that a mentally unstable woman was arrested and severely beaten by local people on Sunday in Udaipur’s Rajarbagh area on the charge of child theft. Later the police of Radha Kishorepur police station went to the spot and rescued the injured woman and brought her to Radha Kishorepur police station. It is said that the police is looking into the whole matter and verifying its authenticity.
