Agartala,12 may, Members of Centre of Indian Trade Unions staged a protest in Agartala on May 12 as part of a nationwide Demand Day programme against the new labour codes. The protest was organised in solidarity with workers’ movements taking place in various parts of the country, including Noida.
On the occasion, a protest rally was taken out and a demonstration was held in front of the Labour Bhavan in Agartala. The workers raised slogans demanding the protection of labour rights and the withdrawal of the labour codes.
Leaders of the organisation stated that the movement will continue until the rights and security of workers are ensured.
