Mayor Takes Tough Stand on Unauthorized Advertisements in Agartala

Agartala, June 4: Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder on Thursday said that all advertisements and posters installed across the city’s streets and lanes would be removed, regardless of whether permission had been obtained.
Speaking to reporters after inspecting Ward No. 16, the Mayor stated that permanent and sustainable road infrastructure work requires time to complete. He added that the Agartala Municipal Corporation is actively carrying out development initiatives aimed at transforming the city into a clean, beautiful, and modern urban center.
During the visit, he inspected various areas of Ramnagar, including Roads No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 under Ward No. 16. He directed officials to undertake the renovation of several drains and the construction of roads in a number of lanes where development work is needed.
The Mayor also noted that a portion of a traditional club building in Ramnagar was creating obstacles to ongoing drainage construction work. He instructed the contractor to demolish the obstructing section at the earliest to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
