Bangladesh has exported 60 tons of hilsa fish to India from Barisal in several consignments on the occasion of the upcoming Durga Puja.
Nirab Hossain Tutul, a leading hilsa exporter and owner of Mahima Enterprise, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Sunday afternoon.
Bangladesh exported these large consignments of hilsa till 10:00pm on Saturday night by four authorized export companies, located at Port Road in Barisal city.Earlier, 52 tons of hilsa were sent to India in three consignments.
