Donation of blood is the best gift of humanity: The Chief Minister has risen above caste-religion differences and donation of blood is the best gift of humanity. It is through this blood donation that a sense of unity and heart-to-heart relationship develops between people. Where religion-caste-caste has no place. Chief Minister Professor (Dr) Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the mega blood donation camp organized by Tripura Chemist and Druggist Association today. At the blood donation camp organized at the office premises of Tripura Chemist and Druggist Association in Krishnanagar, Agartala, the Chief Minister said that donating blood is a noble act. People of all sections irrespective of caste should be encouraged to donate blood. There is no gender discrimination in blood donation. As a result, both men and women can donate blood to each other.
The Chief Minister said that the current state government is working towards changing the society by creating a drug-free Tripura. The Chief Minister also urged the Tripura Chemists and Druggists Association to stand by the government in making this goal of the state government a successful reality. MLA Krishnadhan Das, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Tripura Chemist and Druggist Association General Secretary Biswajit Saha and President Samar Kumar Bhowmik were also present at the mega blood donation event. After the ceremony, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha and other guests visited the blood donation camp and encouraged the blood donors.
