A workshop on women related law and free legal aid was recently held in Dharmanagar. Barnali Goswami, Chairperson of Tripura Women’s Commission, inaugurated the one-day workshop organized at Vivekananda Sarda Centenary Bhavan. President of North Tripura Zilla Parishad Bhabatosh Das, Vice Chairperson of Tripura Women’s Commission Asmita Vanik, Chairman of North Tripura District Child Welfare Committee Prankrishna Pal, Member Secretary of Tripura Women’s Commission Rupak Bhattacharya and other members of Women’s Commission were present on the occasion. While speaking at the opening ceremony, Women’s Commission Chairperson Varnali Goswami said that every person in the society has a role to play in building a beautiful social system. He said that everyone should come forward to build a society free from domestic violence and crime. Women should be respected. They should be made more aware.
Students of different schools, teachers and members of voluntary organizations were also present in the workshop. The event was organized jointly by Tripura Women’s Commission and Tripura Legal Services Authority.
