A blood donation camp was organized at the house of DYFI leader Bhola Chakraborty of Manpathar area of Bilonia sub-division as per the pre-announced schedule. With sticks, rods and various weapons, they started a terrible rampage in his house. Somehow the blood donors escaped from the scene and survived. After that, flag festoons and bicycles of blood donors who came to the blood donation camp with various items were allegedly set on fire. Later, the miscreants beat up the two blood donors on the street. On receiving the information, members of the police and paramilitary forces along with the fire brigade rushed to the spot. After a long effort, the fire was brought under control. DYFI state secretary Navarun Dev alleged that 30 to 40 people from the BJP party organized the incident. He also alleged that BJP miscreants tried to burn the blood donors at the blood donation camp. If the police do not arrest anyone within 24 hours of this incident, then it can be understood that this incident happened on the orders of the Chief Minister. And if any patient dies due to lack of blood, the chief minister and state health minister Dr. Manik Saha will be held responsible. He also demanded to drop the word ‘doctor’ before the name of the chief minister. He also said that recently it has been seen that the police is not working impartially. He alleged that all the incidents are being organized in front of the police.
