A 2-member delegation of the Election Commission visited the state on a 2-day visit to see the preparations for the 2023 assembly elections in the state. Arrived at Agartala on Tuesday afternoon. A meeting was held with the DMs and SPs of the 8 districts of the state at the state guest house from 3:30 in the afternoon. This team includes Senior Deputy Election Commissioner RK Gupta and Nitish Kumar Vaish. In two days, they will hold phased meetings with the top officials of the State Administration, Defense Department, and Election Department. The Election Commission delegation will return to Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.
