The Chief Minister said that the then Maharaja Birvikram Kishore Manikya and later Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi had special contribution in establishing MBB College. Later, with the sincere efforts of many eminent educationists, the college has become one of the reputed educational institutes of the state today. The Chief Minister urged the Higher Education Department to create an e-book to capture the history of the contributions of these great people. Only then future generations will be able to know about the true history of the college. The Chief Minister expressed hope that this college will make the glory of the state brighter in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that MBB College is one of the carriers and carriers of the progress of education in the state. Many meritorious students have studied from this college and are currently holding various important positions in the country and abroad. Maharaja Bir vikram Kishore Manikya took the initiative to establish this college with the aim of introducing modern education through higher education, technical education, cultural education. The Education Minister said that the current state government is taking multi-faceted initiatives to develop the education system of the state after assuming responsibility. They include – setting up triple IT, launching scheme ‘Lakshya’ to prepare state children for all-India competitive exams, setting up National Forensic Science University, taking initiative to bring state degree colleges under NAAC etc. Dr. Satyadeo Poddar, Vice-Chancellor of MBB University, Director of Higher Education Department NC Sharma, Acting Principal of MBB College Dr. Ashish Mitra and others also spoke on the occasion. On this occasion, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha along with other guests of the event felicitated the former principals of the college by presenting certificates, certificates and mementos.
