Police arrested four persons in connection with political violence in Charilam on Wednesday. Two of those arrested are from the ruling party. Two are from CPIM party. 2 cases were registered in Bishalgarh police station regarding Charilam case. The case 132/22 was filed by CPIM. BJP workers Shubham Debnath (25), Dilip Kumar Bhowmik (54) were arrested in that case. 133/22 case filed by BJP. CPM workers Bhavatosh Dutta (48) and Gautam Das (56) were arrested in that case.
